September 2024 Update from BHAM - Behavioral Health Alliance of Montana

With my first month as BHAM’s new Executive Director under my belt, I want to thank everyone for the support and words of wisdom. This is an exciting time for BHAM and for behavioral health in Montana. Later this month, we’ll be holding our Strategic Planning session where BHAM members will get together to begin planning what new paths we want to forge. And throughout the state, we are looking forward to the 2025 legislative session – there’s a lot of opportunities for the advancement of behavioral health programs. Let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions on items you’d like us to tackle!

State of Mind Tour:

State of Mind is a statewide theatre and public dialogue tour aimed at community listening, tackling stigmas around mental and behavioral health, sharing resources and exploring strategies for care across our communities. Download and share the flyer from this link or by clicking the image below.

Behavioral Health System for Future Generations (BHSFG) Commission / 872 Commission:

The BHSFG Commission Draft Report was presented at the August 26th Commission meeting. This Report details recommendations for the timing and utilization of HB 872 funds. A final draft of the Report will be sent to the Governor for approval and future meetings will be scheduled once Report has been approved.
